How do we engage a gaming audience that doesn’t like advertising?

Designit regularly builds digital campaigns with the intent of driving engagement. Our success comes from understanding our audience and the content they love on their preferred platforms.

A recent example is a TikTok campaign we created for an Acer and Microsoft partnership. Our task was to drive sign up for Xbox Game Pass, which is traditionally done through direct response advertising. The gaming audience is notoriously resistant to advertising, so we needed an unconventional approach.

Our solution was to place our direct response message inside entertaining content that fit in with gamers’ TikTok feeds. The campaign results showed a 200% boost in engagement and a %23 increase in Xbox Game Pass sign ups.
